Well, you gotta take into account the fact that this is indeed another world, she doesn't know jack shit about designers there and a lot of other things(like fish being rare) so its easier for her to just go to someone she knows and trusts, plus it looks like she was careful enough to tp on a good place as to not spoil things. The only weird thing is the fact that the woman must have been hearing some weird language during the whole process(besides she also specified "this is a magic spell")

I didnt even know she could do that... LOL. The pacing of this anime is a mess to say the least. Half the things arent even being explained properly.

And it doesn't help that Mitsuha isn't exactly all that likable.

She's cheesing her way to retirement by lying to people, like that noble's family in episode 2, and she admitted to jacking up prices on shampoo. Speaking of which, you mean to tell me that family didn't dive a bit closer into Mitsuha's story, like finding people that look like her for instance, or that for a girl travelling by herself with no money she looks pretty decent?

If on the off chance she DOES wind up in trouble, she can just teleport herself outta it.

Checking her backstory aside i find it more astonishing that no one is questioning her "magic" and where she gets all those things from. She puts up a whole sound system, projector, laptop and no one cares. Usually there would be at least one antagonist trying to take or at least spy on her "powers" as its kind of a big deal and useful for many other purposes.

Not everyone is Sherlock Holmes, you might be one, by watching 5 episodes till now it’s pretty much explained how that world works and how everything goes on there, first treat that isekai world as a medieval region with magic artifacts.

The word antagonist you said, go read the title and synopsis, and spy, powers …..when people just expect every anime to have them and judge it later.
It’s still 5 episodes, drama and main plot (if it exists) starts from here on so give it some time

Then that would be what every anime does, no originality and people will complain about that also. When people remove such comparison ideas and criticism elements and enjoy it purely how it is meant, it will be more fun.

The way you approached this anime is wrong, go back and rewatch or read novel. Read the title in English and synopsis, especially the synopsis, this anime doesn’t have demon lord, hero, betraying friends, magic school, kingdom wars etc.

Problem with people nowadays they want everything to their liking, everything similar to that one anime they liked the most

Gate (Military brings tech in invades)
This (rando brings tech in no one minds)

Would probally be the more accurate version ... she dead gun ain't going to be enough :D

What this needs is polishing on the details

Well if someone thinks this needs polishing on certain things then I respect their opinion, but again it might be just me but I usually try to think from author’s perspective, I have to make a 12 episode anime, how much story should I use, how much should I cut, considering my viewers are somewhat knowledgeable and able to reason basic and simple stuff (I’m not making this for kids) and they are watching it for the character and the interactions and not biasing on little insignificant stuff then I guess I can make a decent enjoyable anime.

I myself will rate this anime around 7/10

They isekai with a power or tool not go between
Tokyo Revengers does but with limitations and timeline changes (dumbitchi should just invest in stocks lmao)
Isekai Ojisan where he does go back to earth he doesn't switch between worlds
Pharmacy one - Just talks to Gods
Cellphone anime - Just the cell connects
Farmer - Just has a grocery store app
Fruit of Evolution - Just a random school arc in another world with a bunch of isekaied students :D Trash at it's raccoon finest and a different anime to S1
This is closer to Omnipotent powers so its a bit broken :)

That said they all explain it in the 12 episodes consistently so not much of a timesink to go into details Maoyuu Maou Yuusha did it real well with the 12 they had

Seems like Mitsuha's isekai is like slime isekai season 2 that airs at the same time,people are just WAAAAYYYY kinder than you westerners. :)

I don't mind the show glossing over that (i don't really want the anime to go all serious all suddenly), BUT i would love for at least a comment of them thinking "Mitsuha is such a friendly witch" or something like that. (Basically make Mitsuha the Wizard of Oz)

You seem to not have watched the previous episode where she clearly explained she is from a very distant country across the ocean and that they will not find anyone like her.

And somehow still gets all her supplys and is missing an enterogue but can express deliver fish :)

Dude, we have Buddy Daddies, Handyman Saitou in Another World, Tensei Oujo, and Tomo-chan. All of which aren't meant to be taken seriously yet they're all enjoyable.
Trying to justify this show's flaws by saying "not everyone is looking for a serious anime" is a pathetic excuse.

All good points you made. I think im just gonna drop this anime. I love fantasy and isekai anime but this... It's just not good. Idk if the manga or light novel is better but the anime is not good.

I liked the manga much more, but it seems that’s just because it’s easier to ignore the dumb parts in manga format. Anime is pretty accurate except that, in the manga, she was able to see the noble without having to fake a carriage accident first.

you should already know that she's a scumbag from the tone the first few episodes set things up. Go into the anime with that in mind and you'll be fine. This is an antihero situation not a normal goody two shoes protagonist.

Right, because selling a product that works, is in demand and the customer is willing to pay make her a piece of shit. If no one is willing to pay her price she will lower it. It's simple economic.
